So many memories shared over the years, from being your pupil, to your babysitter, your class assistant during my A levels, then ending up as your colleague on my return to Boswells, your daughter Charlotte’s teacher and your friend. Pauline. There aren’t the words to express the impact you made upon me as a child but I will be forever grateful that you inspired me and my love of languages. You were charismatic and caring, with a wicked sense of humour and a smile as wide as you can imagine. I am so glad I had the privilege of being taught by you, but even more glad that you became a friend. The world really has lost one of the best. Thank you. I learned so much from you and will miss you dearly.
