My Wonderful Aunt

It has been incredibly hard to hear of Pauline's passing. Pauline was a ray of light in the life of anyone she met and was one of the kindest people I have ever known.

In a particularly dark time, Pauline, along with her husband Richard and, of course, Louise, Tom and Charlotte, all took care of me and treated me with a love and kindness that I will never forget.

Pauline, in particular, would spend time with me and would go out of her way to put her arm around my shoulder and let me know that the world hadn't ended.

There are simply no words to describe someone like Pauline. The simplest way to describe her is that she instantly lit up any room she walked into without saying a word.

Whether it was her patiently helping me with the French homework that I never knew how to do (I still don't get the whole masculine and feminine thing) or listening to me bore everyone in the room about football, she was always there to listen and help and to stop Bobby from barking whenever I kept saying “popadom”.

Pauline will be missed more than she would ever know and I know she'll be with those she loved wherever they go.

Sleep well, Auntie Pauline.
